I have discovered it this year during my vacation in Bulgaria and it was like love at first tasting as Its taste resembles with the romanian Fetească Neagră, even if the bulgarian people says that the Early Melnik grapes variety is cultivated only in the south west side of their country. Deep dark ruby colour, smouthy balanced, velvet fruity, crushed cherries, oak, spices, silicate, and vanilla with finish of nuts and chocolate. Pretty strong at 14.5%alc. I have paired it with game and in a perfect match with semi-hard cheese matured with truffle. I will start a higher attention to the bulgarian wines!.
